Talk of starting kindergarten in the fall got Jack thinking a little down the road.
Jack: What's college? Is that where boys and girls go to try to find someone they like?
Me: [laughing] No.
Jack: Oh. Is it a party?
me: [laughing. wondering: how in the world are you familiar with the ASU student mentality?] No.
Jack: What is it then?

At bathtime, he wanted to know what would happen if (God forbid) Cole stayed under the water too long.
Me: He could have brain damage. That means your brain doesn't work right.
Jack: But how could Cole's brain get any worse? I mean, he doesn't know much.
